Turn on two-factor authentication

2 min read Updated July 17, 2026

Two-factor authentication (2FA) means a stolen password alone can't get into your account. We strongly recommend it for everyone on your team.

Enable 2FA

  1. 1Go to Settings → Security → Two-factor authentication.
  2. 2Choose an authenticator app (recommended) or SMS.
  3. 3Scan the QR code with your authenticator app.
  4. 4Enter the 6-digit code to confirm, and save your backup codes somewhere safe.

Tip: Store your backup codes in a password manager — they're how you get back in if you lose your phone.

Require it for your team

Practice owners can require 2FA for every member from Settings → Security, so no one on the team can sign in without it.
